Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to use of obsid.dev, Obsidian Interactive customer accounts, checkout, licenses, downloads, documentation, support, and community features. The operator is Florian Josef Altendorfer, Einzelunternehmen.

2. License grant and domain seats

After successful payment and fulfillment, Obsidian Interactive grants the customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased software package within the package scope. Domain seats define the number of production domains that may be registered for license validation.

  • License keys and activation codes are tied to the customer account and package.
  • Resale, sublicensing, redistribution, public sharing of license keys, or removing license controls is not permitted unless separately agreed in writing.

3. Account responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate account and checkout information, keeping access links and license credentials confidential, and ensuring that users acting through their account are authorized to do so.

4. Payment and digital delivery

Payments may be offered through Stripe and PayPal. Prices are shown during checkout in the applicable currency. The software, license access, account access, and documentation are delivered digitally after provider confirmation and internal fulfillment. Delivery can be delayed by provider review, failed payment, fraud checks, webhook failure, or email delivery problems.

5. Support and updates

Package pages define the applicable support window, update window, support channels, and support scope. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, support covers product usage and onboarding questions within the package scope, not custom development, hosting administration, emergency operations, or 24/7 incident response.

6. Self-hosting responsibility

Obsidian Interactive packages a self-hosted software deliverable. Customers are responsible for their own infrastructure, domains, DNS, SSL/TLS, backups, environment variables, payment provider accounts, email configuration, deployment, monitoring, security hardening, and legal compliance for their own storefront.

7. Acceptable forum behavior

Community and forum features must not be used for spam, unlawful content, harassment, impersonation, malware, credential sharing, or attempts to bypass access controls. Moderators may edit, remove, lock, move, or restrict content and accounts where needed to operate the community.

8. Intellectual property

Obsidian Interactive, its source code, design, documentation, naming, and related materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. Customers retain their own brand, content, catalog, customer, and storefront data. The license grants usage rights only.

9. Limitation

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory statutory rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. The customer remains responsible for evaluating whether the software fits their intended operational, legal, and technical requirements.
