Nori Habitat
Last updated: 2026-05-30
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app Nori Habitat, package dev.aquarius.norihabitat. The developer/entity for the app is Obsidian Interactive. Privacy requests can be sent to the verified public contact for Obsidian Interactive: info@altendorfer.dev.
Nori Habitat is local-first. Core local usage does not require an account. Habitats, readings, tasks, journal entries, photos/media references, livestock and equipment data, preferences, and backups are primarily stored locally on the device unless you enable cloud/account features or explicitly export or share data.
Depending on how you use Nori Habitat, the app may process these categories of data:
Cloud sync and backup are optional. If enabled, they require remote services and may store account, sync, and backup data outside your device. Supabase may act as a backend processor for account, cloud, or sync functionality. This policy does not expose or document secret keys.
Google Play is used for Android subscription billing. The app uses the product IDs premium_monthly and premium_yearly. Billing validation may involve Google Play and the app backend. Purchase availability depends on Google Play product, tester, and live release validation.
Home Assistant integration is optional and user-configured. Home Assistant access tokens must remain local-only and must not be cloud-synced. Home Assistant servers are user-controlled external systems and are not operated by Obsidian Interactive.
Household sharing is an optional account/cloud feature. If enabled, shared habitat data may be visible to invited household members depending on role and permissions. Access-control behavior must be validated for the deployed feature before relying on it in production.
Nori Habitat data is not sold. Where applicable, Google Play processes subscription billing. Supabase may process optional account, cloud, and sync data. A user-configured Home Assistant server is a user-controlled external system that may receive data you choose to send to it.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, remove app data, delete entries, or export/remove files. Cloud/account data, when enabled, must have a request mechanism for deletion or account-data handling. You can send deletion or privacy requests outside the app to info@altendorfer.dev.
Obsidian Interactive uses reasonable technical and organizational measures for remote services it operates or configures, including access controls and secure handling practices appropriate to the feature. Home Assistant tokens must remain on your device. No app or internet service can be guaranteed to be risk-free.
Nori Habitat is not intended for children.
